Happy Christmas 2024

Auch John Lennon ließ es sich nicht nehmen, mit der Plastic Ono Band 1971 ein Weihnachtslied aufzunehmen. Es ist an sich ein schöner Song – vor allem wegen der Frage, was wir gemacht haben im vergangenen Jahr. Doch mit dem Refrain “war is over, if you want it” verewigte John Lennon seine vermutlich größte Illusion. Denn dass der Krieg kommt, ist unter den Militärexperten ausgemacht. Differenzen bestehen nur in der Frage, ob er uns in sieben, fünf oder schon in drei Jahren erreicht.
